Energy Performance Certificates
DEA - Existing buildings
OCDEA - New buildings
An EPC is required if you are marketing for sale or renting out a property to tenants. You must obtain an EPC rating of C for new tennancies from 2028,all tennancies must be EPC rating C by 2030.
Our team have can produce EPC certifdicates both new build developments (OCDEA) and existing buildings (DEA).
A risk assessment will be carried out over the phone to ensure you are prepared for the assessor to carry out the work.
A survey of the building fabric and the energy related components within your property is carried out, it will provide an energy rating indicating the energy efficiency of your property. The grading is on a scale from A-G, with A being the most energy efficient and G being the least.
An energy assessor will come and spend about 1.5 hours (dependent on property size) and gather all of the information required to produce the EPC certificate.
We can produce certificates within 3 - 4 working days.
Energy Saving Tips and Advice
After receiving your EPC certificate and your energy rating is between D and G, it would be useful to have a discussion with your Domestic Energy Assessor to see what can be done to improve your energy efficiency and lower your heating bills.
The EPC certificate will make recommendations that you may want to take advantage of but the suitability of those recomendations must be aligned to your property and your budget.
The assessor will discuss all of the no and low cost actions that you can take in your own time. If you want to implement any of the suggested energy efficiency measures a Retrofit Assessment may be required to assess the property for the suitability of your chosen options.
Retrofit Assessment Services
New & Existing buildings
Historical & Listed buildings
For your energy retrofit project to be PAS 35 compliant, additional work to ensure that an energy upgrade can be safely and successfully completed is done by an Energy Retrofit Assessor.
The Retrofit Assessor undertakes a full condition survey and creates other reports in order to confirm that the retrofit work can be carried out successfully. It is likely that your energy rating will be significantly enhanced after retrofit work has been completed.
Our Energy Retrofit Assessors are qualified to work on older, historical and listed buildings as well as property in conservation areas.
Retrofit Co-ordination
Project Management
Retrofit Co-ordinators are the project managers who oversee domestic retrofit projects from project inception to a successful handover. They are experienced professionals who support homeowners, residents and and landlords to achieve their retrofit goals.
The role of the Retrofit Co-ordinator is to protect the interests of both the client and the public. They are responsible for identifying, assessing and managing technical and process risks associated with retrofit projects.
